October

Its November, bloody hell its November!

Haven't been on this thing for awhile because well frankly I don't think anyone actually bothers coming here, hooray for Twitter and short attention spans. Reds are pretty much other the title race, god I hope I'm proven wrong. Feeling inspired so I guess that's why I am here! Thank You, CKJ!
So here are my updates.

Politically:
Just read that the PM is considering all these actions against Cambodia as a result of their harboring our fugitive. In an era where we are beginning to see truth international diplomacy and dialogue again is this prudent or wise? Can one really blame the Cambodians as they have reason to dobut the credibility of an unelected government one which came into power on the back of support by the PAD a group that is as anti khmer as any in Thailand? Shouldnt be building dialogue and trust instead of making mountains out of molehills!

Sports:
Well October and we're out of the title race, ownership might not help but Rafa has to be held accountable somewhat. Our injuries are mounting up which only adds fuel to a growing flame but at least we beat the mancs and aren't Newcastle! Still behind Senior Benitez though becaus on his day he is the best manager in the world. Come on ya red men. Might be doing in game blogs here too, that will be on here.

Personal:
Everything is good, demoralised, depressed shit, working at a society magazine might do this to you. Quitting in February and will be freelancing/traveling/visiting etc money permitting! Don't forget to follow me at twitter to my four readers at

Jeebus, its August!

So its August and after a harrowing week of heartfelt sympathy and a few tears shed we come back to the concept of mortality. Well more a reality than a concept, anyways in regards to the matter feel free to add some profound semblance of sense here. I have non.

On to brighter things.

Lucas slaters beware he is the real deal this coming season, shame about Xabi though but after five years you can't really slate him, as long as he doesnt sign for the scum in the future all should be well and good in the world, best of luck mate and hope you win nought with Real.

Thailand......heh nothing bright so lets not mention it.

Settled into Bangkok more now though, starting to feel like home again but sometimes you get tired of the busses acting like motorcycles and vice versa and want to get back to civilised driving. Oh...if i ever get on that beebs show where they can get rid of things they hate be sure to remind me to have traffic as part of my list.

Hmmm other than that no updates for my three followers....and if you're wandering around and find this feel free to add me and mention me to mates, its a lonely solitary voice here!

Theres something beautiful about this.

Haven't posted in awhile. Busy with work and life

Anyways just wanted to share a quick story with you. The orphanage i volunteered at contacted me recently and asked if i wanted to help out this past weekend. Being the natural upstanding citizen that I am, i politely declined. However scheduling conflicts made it possible for me to go there last minute and I did and i came across this family. Just a typical Thai middle class type who had a 10 year old son at the hospital where there was an event. So speaking to them i managed to get a story that really really got to me. Their son was very ill, about 1 percent away from being terminal. The cancer which had consumed him was quickly spreading throughout his body and the doctors said chemo probably would not save his life. They advised the parents to save their money as there was little chance of it actually curing or fixing him. The parents declined and plugged away their savings (including his college fund) into the expensive treatment. And miraculously things began to look up however, about a week ago the boys condition took a nose dive for the worse and his life expectancy was measured in hours not days. Sitting there with the parents, i asked why they had done it, put in so much money when the chance was next to non of a successful operation. Their reply was simple, because he is our son. There is something beautiful about this.

Relevant Movie Quote

From "The Egyptian" (1954)
If you get a chance to watch this movie, do so! Brilliant watch, can't believe i haven't seen it before.

"Glory flees like a shadow. All these things have the seed of death in them. Only a thought can live, only a great truth can grow and flourish a truth cannot be killed.

(Are you trying to tell me that you will fight against me?)

Oh you will win that too..
For if you fail to silence me, you know what I will do..

(What will you do physician?)

I will go among the people,
and try to answer the questions that burn in their hearts
the questions that I've asked myself, for all my life
wherever I've wandered in the world, and which were answered for me
by a dying man, I will wear the clothes of a slave
and kick the sandles from my feet, and speak to the wives
as they fry their fish before their mudhuts by the river
to the porters on the docks, to the smiths by their bellows
to the slaves under the yolks, and I will say
A man cannot be judged by the colour of his skin
his clothes, his jewels, or his triumphs
Only by his heart
A good man is better than a bad man
Justice is better than injustice
He who uses mercy is better than he who uses violence."

Semblance of Sense

There is not much sense left in the world anymore. The reds drew at home to city over the weekend...feels like a loss. I don't know why i feel so insanely glum about this. Perhaps its because for the first time we were actually in the title race and we actually started to believe only to be let down like this. Still the positives we can take from this season are numerous, we have more options down the wing, our squad is beginning to gel and find some semblance of consistency, we have only one loss and a very unlucky one at that, and we're 2nd and in the title race in February. Still thats little consolation for this feeling so heres to hoping that we win the European Cup and take it from there. Still if we win at Old Trafford.......we might still be within a shout....
The thought of rolling over and lame ducking it while United match us on league title simply sickens me.

In other news the world is officially crap.

Slumdog wins best picture, although my vote would have been cast for Frost/Nixon.
Kate Winslet wins best actress. (About Time!)
And Mickey Rourke should've beaten Sean Penn in what seemed a very behind the scenes political decision.
Meh trust Hollywood honchos to screw up a remarkable comeback story.
